2 Year Old “Transition” Program

Our 2 year old transition program is divided into two groups (Transition 1 and Transition 2) based on age.

Transition is defined as the “process or period of changing from one state to another.”  Our Transition program is crafted with a special emphasis on a 2 year old’s transition into preschool.  Your 2 year old will develop his or her independence and confidence in a setting that encourages a sense of community and positive self-esteem. Each class follows a daily routine which includes sensory play, inside and outside playtime, circle time, snack time, and art time. Your child does not need to be potty trained, although teachers will encourage a child’s preference for bathroom facilities.

  • This drop off class meets for 3 hours a day on Tue/Thurs or Mond/Wed from 9:00am -12:00pm.
  • Registration Fee of $125 and 1 installment (applicable to the 10th tuition installment) is payable in advance of each year (both are non-refundable)
  • 2 Days $340.00 (10 installments)

3 Year Old Program

With a new found sense of independence, three-year-olds are further developing their awareness of their place in the world.  The 3 year old classroom presents a fun, child-centered, hands-on learning experience; which supports each child’s competency in building learning skills through play.  Our objectives reflect the skills three-year-olds are discovering within themselves such as: language/literacy, problem solving, expressing emotions with increasing self-control, building relationships, developing self-reliance skills during snack and meals, dressing, hand-washing, and toileting.  With a warm and loving environment, children will develop social play through many activities such as blocks and building, imaginary play, creative art, science discoveries, cooking activities, music and movement, as well as a wide variety of sensory actives.  Our goal for the three-year-olds is to be able to successfully participate in the classroom routing and to separate from their parents with confidence.

4 Year Old Program

cooking

Our 4 year old program is divided into two groups (Group 3 and Group 4) based on age.

Group 3 is also based on the developmental philosophy that play is important for a child’s social/emotional, physical, and intellectual language and cognitive skills and growth.  When a child plays, he or she is involved in problem solving, exploring and establishing relationships, developing critical things and shared understanding.  The group 3 program seeks to support and assist these skills as they grow at a child’s individual rate through age appropriate activities, materials and experiences.

Our children will explore nature, art, and artists, community, cooking, science, music, letter bags and patterning (early math).  As part of the classroom family, they will participate in daily responsibilities like snack helper and calendar.  In addition they will have opportunities that will boost their problem solving skills while supporting positive ways of interacting with their peers.

Group 4
strives to create an environment in our classrooms that encourages independence, creativity, and a safe atmosphere for children to explore and try new things.  It is exciting to watch your child grow and thrive as the year progresses.  We enjoy many fun units throughout the year including nutrition, the environment, space, dinosaurs and artists.

Our 3, 4 and 5 year old Programs are all drop off and meet 3 hours a day from 9:00am – 12:00pm. (Optional before and after care. See details below.)
