Prayers for all of humanity as we process the election results. Protect us and our democracy from forces of oppression and autocracy who want to limit our freedoms. May we rise above division and hate in dignity and hope — protect us from the darkness.
Betsy asks that we please remember our faithful members who are unable to attend church in person. She visited Zazel Whitney, who sent a “Hello” to all. Zazel says she is happy at the nursing home in Room 9C — visitors are welcome and will brighten her day.
Peggy reports that Joe also visited Zazel, and she told him that she plans to stay in the facility where she is now.
Marshelle asks that we lift up everyone impacted by the mass shooting at the historically black college in Alabama — Tuskegee.
Linda Lalande asks prayers for Scott Althouse, husband of Pat Thomas. He passed on Halloween after a fall. He was suffering from dementia. Prayers for Pat as she heals from treatment for a brain tumor as she grieves the loss of Scott. She is working hard to get back her left-side capability so she can drive and take care of herself. Amen.
Larry Moad reports that Jonathan is out of the hospital now after 8 days — still supposed to rest at home, but that’s a challenge. They are thankful for the prayers, cards, calls, and love from their WHCC family.
Larry Duplechan asks prayers for his friend, Carolyn Weathers, who is in the hospital having undergone the removal of a tumor and some lymph node material for biopsy.
