Woodland Hills Community Church has been associated with the Boy Scouts since the church’s inception in 1947. While the church’s Boy Scout troop is not currently active, we have started a Cub Scout pack as of January 2018. The Boy Scouts have recently changed their policy to allow girls to participate in the program. Boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 5th grade are welcome to join. WHCC’s pack is the first in the district to have had girls join!
While the church hosts two Daisy troops from the Girl Scouts (Troop 3056 that meets Mondays from 5:30-6:30 PM in Smith Lounge and Troop 1816 that meetings Fridays from 3:30-4:30 PM), neither of these troops are affiliated with the church. They are two of the 22 community partners that WHCC hosts.
Please visit our Cub Scout 54 Website for regular updates regarding our new Cub Scout program.
If you have questions, please see the church’s charter representative: Emma Wilkins. Emma is our Children & Youth Ministry Director as well. She can help your boy or girl get involved in the new pack.
On Monday May 11, the Cub Scouts got together for their final pack meeting of the year via Zoom. Pack 54 still intends to celebrate the Cub Scouts that have achieved their ranks this year one way or another, and are still looking at ways they can do so.
A big thanks to Luna and her parents from Pack 54 for submitting a wonderful aerial arts performance which was used for our “In it Together” fundraiser. Thank you to Pack 54 for your continued support.
