Woodland Hills Community Church (WHCC) welcomes children through age 12 to Sunday School each week during the worship service at 10:00am, lead by Emma Wilkins, our Children and Youth Ministries Director. We have two classrooms, our pre-school age “Zebra Class” and the elementary school age “Giraffe Class”. Our curriculum is designed for church families with a wide age range in each classroom. Lessons are taught using storytelling, games, arts & crafts and music in a fun and loving environment. At the conclusion of Sunday School the children join the congregation in the sanctuary to share something from their lesson and participate in the closing circle of sending.
WHCC is dedicated to providing a safe environment for all children. Every teacher and volunteer has had a National Criminal Background Screening completed.
THIS WEEK IN SUNDAY SCHOOL
This Sunday is the day of Pentecost. In our story this week we will reading the story of The Holy Spirit visiting the disciples. In this lesson we learn that God’s spirit guides us. Scripture reference Acts 2:1-21.
So good to see so many of you at the Sunday School Hangout on Sunday. It was voted (by the children) that we would continue to meet every Sunday via zoom between 2-3pm., including over the summer holidays. Link for this week”s zoom hangout to follow.
